Family and Community Events
The Rye Historical Society hosts and participates in family and community events throughout the year. Perennial favorites include Family Pumpkin Carving, Thanksgiving Traditions, Mistletoe Magic, Be My Valentine, and Girls and Dolls Tea Party.
Each year, the Society sponsors a tour of different Rye neighborhoods and historic periods. The 2010 tour marked the 350th anniversary of the founding of Rye and covered Rye's history from 1660-1848. Prior tours included Old Mill Town, Historic Kirby Mill Pond, Greenhaven, the Wainwrights and Their Houses, Views of Rye 1917, and Rye's Waterfront Parks.
