Volunteer Opportunities
The Rye Historical Society relies on the help of our many volunteers to run the Square House Museum, the Knapp House Library & Archives, our education programs, fundraisers and special events. We welcome any level of involvement that your schedule permits. We have a variety
of opportunities that could tap into your talents or we will gladly train you. Join our Square House Circle.
Archives and Library: help sort and catalog our collection of important historical papers. Gardens: help plant, water, weed and prune our herb and flower gardens at the Square House and Knapp House. Docent: give tours of the Square House Museum to school classes and visiting groups. We will train you. Publicity: help with our newsletter, flyers, invitations and our website. Special events: Help children create Victorian Valentine's Day cards or scoop out pumpkin seeds. Extra assistance at our many special events is always welcome. Collections: Don your white gloves and help with our extensive collections. Learn about accessioning and the care and conservation of artifacts. Please contact Sheri Jordan if you would like to help with any of the above activities.
