Join RHS and Holy Child for the Second Annual Witness Stones Memorialization and Public Ceremony as we continue our proud tradition of honoring the memory of individuals who were enslaved in our community. This year, we focus on Peg Lyon, a significant figure in Rye's history, with a direct connection to Teresa Vega, a respected board member of the Rye Historical Society and Lyon's descendant.

The ceremony will include the installation of a witness stone for Peg Lyon, with remarks from her granddaughter, Teresa Vega, and School of the Holy Child staff and students who studied her life. This act of remembrance serves as a poignant reminder of our shared history.
