Summer Break Program - Time Travelers: Revisiting History through Theater

  • Rye Historical Society 1 Purchase Street Rye, NY, 10580 United States (map)

Who: Welcome Time Travelers! Please join the Rye Historical Society for an exciting week embarking on an exhilarating journey back to the early 19th century, when our nation flourished with optimism and a resolute commitment to democracy. Step into the shoes of the people of Rye during the Colonial, Revolutionary Periods, and early 1800s to learn about day to day activities, including communication, crafts and games, food, and working.

Inspired by what life was like in the past, get ready to practice a skit that takes place in the 1700s, with historical figures such as George Washington.

At the end of this fun exploration, showcase your acting chops in a final performance for your parents and friends!
