The Rye Historical Society is a proud partner of the Hudson River Valley Ramble! 🎉 Join us for a special guided tour of the Square House Inn & Tavern Museum, a landmark rich with stories from America's past. Walk the halls where John and Sam Adams once trod, dine where Marquis de Lafayette dined, and explore the rooms where George Washington stayed—twice!
On August 31st at 1:00 PM, dive into history with our expert-led tour. Explore the colonial Entry Hall, exclusive Tavern Room, Warming Kitchen, Council Room, and a colonial bedroom, all within the historic Square House.
🗺️ Embark on a Journey with Our Brand New "Walk Downtown Rye" Brochure!
After the tour, pick up your copy of the "Walk Downtown Rye" brochure at the Square House and explore Historic Downtown Rye with our self-guided walking tour. This new brochure will guide you along a historical trail featuring interpretive signs at various historic sites throughout downtown Rye. The tour weaves through the charming streets and takes about 30 minutes, not including stops at quaint shops, cafes, and more.
The museum will be open from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM for self-guided tours on the day of the event.
